How do I set up my e-mail account for webmail access?
When you register at Southern Wesleyan University you will receive an e-mail address, you are set up to use webmail. Using an Internet browser, go to the e-mail link at the bottom of the left navigation from anywhere on the university Web site or click here.
How do I check my e-mail?
From your dorms/apartment you can use your e-mail software such as Outlook Express to access your e-mail. While off campus or in the labs, webmail will allow you to take advantage of a variety of features, which include the ability to send and receive e-mail using a computer with Internet access.
Does webmail have an e-mail storage limit?
Your mailbox has 40mb of storage space. Deleting your e-mail regularly will ensure this limit is not exceeded. When using webmail, deleting mail only moves e-mail to your trash folder. E-mail is completely removed when the trash folder is empty.
What if I have forgotten my e-mail password?
Call Information Technology at 644-5050. Be prepared verify your identity. Information Technology will not be able to tell you your password, but they can set a new password for you.
What is the name of the Incoming mail server?
The name of the POP3 server for incoming mail is mail.swu.edu
What is the name of the Outgoing mail server?
The name of the SMTP server for outgoing mail is mail.swu.edu
