1 - Windows 95/98/98se/Me/2000/Windows XP are no longer supported by the SWU IT department.  Vista Business is the recommended operating systems. However, Vista Home Premium,

2 - A 10/100 Network card is required to connect to the campus network.  If you do not have a network card, one can be purchased and installed by the IT department for $50.00. A 10' CAT-5 patch cable will be provided. At this time wireless connections are not available in the dorm rooms.

3 - Students and teachers qualify for discounts on software. Please consult with the IT department prior to purchasing application software.

4 - The university provides resident students with Symantec Antivirus software including an annual subscription service for a nominal fee. Functioning and up-to-date Anti-virus software, with a current paid subscription service, is required for all computers connected to the university network.
