Full-time Computer Science Faculty - Central, SC

Southern Wesleyan University invites applications for a full-time computer science faculty position in the traditional program at the Central campus. This is a 9-month, tenure-track position that will begin August 1, 2016.  The successful candidate will have broad training in computer science and have interest in undergraduate teaching and research. The university is actively seeking to increase the number of women and minorities within its faculty.

Primary Responsibilities

Teaching responsibilities will be primarily in SWU’s traditional undergraduate computer science programs, including courses in software, database design, networking, systems analysis, and possibly cyber security. Additional responsibilities will involve academic advising, mentoring undergraduate students, program planning and assessment, and serving on assigned committees related to university functions.


Academic. An earned doctorate in computer science. Preference will be given to applicants with previous teaching experience.
