Camp at SWU shows learning science can be fun

Vicki Juan, center, observes Camp Invention participants at Southern Wesleyan University as they assemble a structure designed to bear a load of metal washers.

Camp Invention, for grades one through six is devoted to presenting “real world” challenges with a fun twist and is taking place through June 20, 2014, at the university’s Central campus. Camp Invention is made possible through a partnership with Invent Now Kids, which organizes the nationally-acclaimed, week-long camp. The camp is also made possible through partnerships with Duke Energy, Motorola Solutions Foundation, Nordson, Dow Corning Foundation, AIPLA, Livingston and Haven, the United States Patent and Trademark Office and Invent Now Endowment.
