Clayton publishes book
Dr. Larry Clayton, member of Southern Wesleyan’s board of visitors, recently published a biography of Bartolomé de las Casas through Cambridge University Press.
Clayton is a member of the University of Alabama faculty, where he has chaired the Latin American Studies program. Las Casas fought the Spanish control, writing vividly about the brutality of the Spanish conquistadors. Once a settler and exploiter of the American Indians, he became their defender, breaking ground for the modern human rights movement.Read more>>
