Faculty, staff member of the year at SWU

Southern Wesleyan University students, faculty and staff selected two employees to be honored during convocation ceremonies April 28 at Newton Hobson Chapel on the campus in Central. Dr. David Spittal, president of the university, made the presentations. Dr. Susan Rouse, associate professor of biology, was named Faculty Member of the Year. Nominations for Rouse’s honor were submitted by students, faculty and staff, then selected by a committee. Receiving honors as Staff Member of the Year was Edith Garrett, clerk of Southern Wesleyan’s post office.
