Outstanding SWU employees
Southern Wesleyan University students, faculty and staff selected the best of the best to receive awards at a recent convocation service.
Roberta Sears, left, secretary in the Education Department at Southern Wesleyan University, and Dr. Travis “Rocky” Nation, assistant professor of biology, were honored at the service. Nation was named Faculty Member of the Year and received the Ken Dickens Award for Excellence in Teaching. Nominations for Nation’s honor are submitted by students, faculty and staff, then selected by a committee. Sears was selected as Staff Member of the Year by the university’s students.
