SWU President Dr. David Spittal welcomes Dr. Anthony Graham as the featured speaker at the university’s spring baccalaureate chapel. At right, Graham delivers the sermon at baccalaureate chapel.

Graham, senior pastor of New Hope Family Worship Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., delivered the sermon May 7 at Newton Hobson Chapel and Fine Arts Center on the university’s campus in Central. Graham urged the graduates to “be filled with God’s holy spirit” and to completely submit their lives to God. “When the spirit of God is present, my friends, miracles will take place,” he said. The service concluded with the presentation of towels bearing the Southern Wesleyan University seal to the graduates as a symbol of Christian service.
