SWU to hold annual Jazz Invitational

    Southern Wesleyan University’s fifth annual Jazz Invitational will be Feb. 24 on the university’s main campus in Central.

    The music begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Lowell E. Jennings Campus Life Center. Bands from around the Upstate will perform three selections each in a non-competitive environment. One of the highlights will be the All-Star Directors Combo made up of the directors from each participating school.

    This year, the schools scheduled to attend are:

    D.W. Daniel High School, Liberty High School, Pendleton High School, Providence Christian Academy. Seneca High School, Southern Wesleyan University, Spartanburg High School, T.L. Hanna High School, Walhalla High School, Westside High School and Wren High School. Admission is free. Pizza and soft drinks will be for sale to benefit the SWU Music Club.
