Dr. Jo Anne Lyon
Dr. Jo Anne Lyon, executive director of World Hope International, was the speaker at Southern Wesleyan University’s chapel service Dec. 6. Lyon explained the challenge of fighting AIDS on a global basis. In a West Wing ceremony last week, President George Bush announced the selection of Lyon and World Hope International to lead a $7.7 million HIV/AIDS prevention and care initiative in Haiti. Lyon is also the author of “The Ultimate Blessing: Rediscovering the Power of God’s Presence.”
