Southern Wesleyan University accreditation reaffirmed

SWU Trustees, Faculty and Staff:

I am pleased to report that the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools has reaffirmed SWU’s accreditation for ten years through 2020. This action was taken was taken at the December 6, 2010 meeting of the Commission.

In another action, the Commission approved SWU’s Master of Education in Administration and Supervision degree. This new offering will serve students who seek leadership positions in school administration.

Both actions are the result of dedicated efforts by our faculty and staff throughout this extensive process.

Special thanks to Dr. Daryl Couch who chaired our accreditation team, Dr. Iddings, Provost, and the many others who provided leadership and support  throughout the process.

This is a milestone for the advancement of the university and its future. Praise be to God for his blessings and to all who contributed to this achievement.
