Intended for: Current teachers or interim administrators desiring to achieve advanced certification and placement as assistant principal, principal or district supervisor

- Leads to advanced certification in South Carolina
- Includes three practicum experiences plus an internship
- All courses are 7 weeks (plus breaks) except the final course (internship), which is 12 weeks
- Curriculum is lockstep with no electives

- Includes only class work with no practicum requirements
- All courses are 7 weeks
- Program includes 6 hours of elective credit, which can be transferred in or taken at the various AGS sites

Requirements:
- Valid South Carolina professional teacher’s certificate
- Two years teaching experience
- Successful completion of an undergraduate program of study with a GPA of at least 3.0 (if less than 3.0, students must have satisfactory scores on the GRE and/or approval of the Graduate Admissions Committee)
- Statement of disclosure concerning all prior convictions including felonies and misdemeanors

Requirements:
- Valid professional teacher’s certificate from any state
- One year teaching experience or two recommendation letters stating that the student candidate has access to a classroom for research purposes
- Successful completion of an undergraduate program of study with a GPA of at least 3.0 (if less than 3.0, students must have satisfactory scores on the GRE and/or approval of the Graduate Admissions Committee)
