Jazz camp swings into Southern Wesleyan
Aspiring jazz artists spent four days on the Southern Wesleyan University campus in Central learning tips from the pros. Pictured is Bruce Helgerson of Anderson demonstrating a guitar technique to a group of musicians attending the camp. This year’s camp took place June 22-25, featuring students from across the state receiving instruction in jazz improvisation, jamming with clinicians and working with jazz artists which included saxophonist Doug Norwine, a renowned player known for his improvisational ability and his numerous studio credits.
