University dedicates new media communication center
Southern Wesleyan University held a ribbon cutting ceremony on September 25 to officially open a new media communication center and production suite. The center is dedicated to the memory of Stacia Cressa Sheets, who passed away with melanoma in 1990.
The center was funded by $75,000 in donations from the Green Foundation and members of the Sheets family and provides SWU communication students with two state-of-the-art editing studios and equipment that includes three Apple computers, three Apple media production software packages, two new high-definition video cameras and lighting. The center is located in the Faith Newton Hobson Chapel and Fine Arts Center on Southern Wesleyan’s campus in Central.
