Something to smile about

Two Southern Wesleyan University graduates are polishing up a promising dental practice in a growing part of the Upstate.
Pre-Med and Pre-Dentistry
Since 2001, Southern Wesleyan University has offered majors in pre-medicine and pre-dentistry. Students who earn Southern Wesleyan's bachelor's degree in pre-medical and pre-dentistry meet all the requirements of almost all the medical schools in the U.S. Most students with this major have been successful in entering medical schools. The same applies to entering dental schools. SWU graduates with majors in chemistry and biology have also been admitted to medical schools.
More than 90 percent of the graduates in these majors have been accepted to medical or dental schools.

What Can You Do with an Undergraduate Major in Biology/Premedice?
Admission to medical or dental school does not depend on a specific major. These schools require certain courses, and admission is based on grades in these courses, on scores on the Medical College Admission Test, on the student's experiences, and on interviews.
