Computers are an integral part of today's educational programs and each student in the adult evening and online programs is expected to have basic computing skills (email, internet research, word processing and spreadsheets) prior to beginning a degree program. You will also need regular access to a computer throughout the course of your program.
For students who wish to utilize their own personal laptop computers, the university provides wireless internet access within each of the five education centers. Students may also use computers available in the computer lab of each education center. The computer lab offers access to the internet, printers and various software programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Southern Wesleyan University is excited to offer Microsoft Office365 Pro Plus to all SWU students. Office365 Pro Plus allows students to download Microsoft Office Professional 2013 onto a maximum for 5 computers for free. This offering of Office 2013 is available once a student is in class and has received their SWU email account.
