Dana Connor ‘10
Bachelor of arts in English
Pickens, S.C.
When Dana Connor was picking out a college to attend, God closed all the doors of other places and left open the door for Southern Wesleyan University.
Connor’s loves SWU’s small and close-knit community. At SWU, Dana was able to build close relationships with other students and professors. She has gotten to know her professors, who are often willing to help her outside of class.
“Training to be a public school teacher allows me to see how unique Southern Wesleyan University is,” she says.
Upon graduation, Connor hopes to teach somewhere along the coast. She is also considering teaching English as a second language (TESOL) in Spain.
Connor says she is proud and fortunate to be a Southern Wesleyan graduate because most of them are considered highly-qualified.
Connor wants to tell those who are considering a college that “your college experience is going to be as good as you make it.”
