As the son of a faculty member, Jamin Connor has always known about Southern Wesleyan University.
Although he’s been familiar with Southern Wesleyan, Jamin did not expect how much impact SWU would bring to his life as a student.
“I not only learn so much academically and spiritually at SWU, but I also learn about facing life,” Jamin says.
Jamin really appreciates the opportunity to be in an accountability group with friends at SWU. He admits that he used to have tendency to disengage from people, but he has found encouragement from others and become connected in the campus community.
“The Student Life Office is really great, too,” said Jamin.
SWU also provides Jamin a wonderful experience with faculty and staff, being able to walk around the campus and talk with professors openly about his studies and also about life.
Jamin is prayerfully considering going into the mission field when he graduates. He expressed that “the beauty of trusting God is not knowing what is going to happen.”
For Jamin, coming to SWU is one of the best things that has happened in his life.
“SWU is a very sincere place. Everybody here cares about you and wants to see you succeed. It offers me an opportunity to grow really as a person. I am certainly not the same person as I was my freshman year,” Jamin says.
