FAFSA for Online Students

FAFSA Code: 003422

Complete the FAFSA at studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa. (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA must be submitted each year to determine eligibility for need-based grants, work, and loans. 

  1. Locate your previous year tax returns:
    1. For students enrolling at SWU for the first time in Spring 2024 or Summer 2024 terms: Locate your completed 2021 federal tax returns for both the student and either parents or spouse (as appropriate) in order to complete the 2023-2024 FAFSA.
    2. For current students or students enrolling for the first time at SWU in Fall 2024: The 2024-2025 FAFSA will be redesigned and streamlined. Watch the videos in this playlist to learn more.
