Career workshop offers tips for job seekers
Ways to stand out from the rest of the job-hunting crowd was the focus of a free career workshop at Southern Wesleyan University’s location in Columbia. The July 26 seminar was open to the public and featured Yvonne Duckett, director of career services at Southern Wesleyan. She offered tips from employment recruiters that can help potential employees improve their chances of being hired. Southern Wesleyan’s Columbia location is on Pinnacle Point Drive, off I-77 near Farrow Road.
