The future is truly golden for North Augusta grad.

“After 40 years of working in corporate America, I retired and received the desires of my heart.  After I retired I worked as an instructor with a summer enrichment program, where I realized that God was using me to motivate young people.

When I entered the master’s program at SWU, I thought it was rather late in life to pursue this degree. In the middle of the program, God blessed me to realize it is a privilege to be graduating at age 64 with a master’s degree. 

Southern Wesleyan’s location is convenient, and meeting one night a week is the perfect setup. It allows students to work while attending school. The study group was very helpful. It encouraged and motivated me. When I needed someone to give me that extra push and say 'you can do it,' my study group was there for me. While at Southern Wesleyan, my study group cared for and encouraged me.

It's never too late.

 If a desire is burning in you, don’t let your age stop you.  Psalm 37:4 tells us, ‘Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.’”
