Southern Wesleyan University reserves the right to change the tuition and fee schedule at any time. The charge for drop-in courses, or for other special courses, will be applied according to the current schedule. Each course must be paid for in advance, prior to attending the first workshop. A late charge will be added to any account that is overdue as stated in the original payment plan. Supplemental materials give details about financial policies.
At the time of enrollment the student will choose a payment plan in consultation with accounting personnel. Thereafter, the student will be responsible to follow the schedule of payments. Failure to pay in a timely manner will result in the student's grades being held until payment is made as called for in the payment plan. The late charge will also be added to the total due.
Adult & Graduate Studies (AGS) Program – Delinquency Policy
AGS tuition for Self-Pay students is due three weeks prior to class start dates. Any outstanding student account balances are considered delinquent after the start date of the course. A $25 late fee may be assessed if payment is not received by the due date. Outstanding balances of AGS students receiving financial aid and/or that participate in third-party billing will be considered delinquent sixty days past the due date. Outstanding balances of AGS students participating in Deferred Billing are considered delinquent 32 days after course end date, allowing students 31 days to remit payment. Any AGS Accounting Office approved payment plan will be considered in delinquent immediately if a payment is not received by its due date. Any student with an outstanding balance sixty days past the withdrawal date on record will be considered in default.
AGS - Withdrawal / Change of Schedule
Financial aid for a student who withdraws from the AGS program (over 29 days in duration), will be reviewed for impact and possible re-payment to all federal and state programs.
In addition, Federal regulations require that exit interview information be sent to the student. It is important that this information be completed online, as it contains pertinent loan repayment information. Call the Financial Aid Office if you have questions about changes in schedule (individual course withdrawal) and impact on your financial aid.
