    Families from Pickens, Oconee and Anderson counties that date back at least 100 years participated in the event, which featured 37 tables of old photographs, family records and various mementos. Also featured were presentations about genealogy software and DNA. The event, hosted at the university’s campus in Central, was sponsored by Birchwood Center for Arts and Folklife, Southern Wesleyan University, Old Pendleton Genealogical Society, Pickens County Historical Society, Pendleton District Commission, Pickens County Museum of Art and History and Central Heritage Society.
