SWU students Michaela Swedberg, left, and Lauren Schaupp enjoy the company of Riley during a visit by SCDogs volunteers and their pets Dec. 8 at Central. Riley belongs to Elaine Randales of Seneca. Swedberg is an environmental science major from Clemson and Schaupp is a biology major from Central.

Southern Wesleyan University students enjoy a little "canine companionship," thanks to volunteers from SCDogs, who visited the Central campus Dec. 8 with their dogs, trained as registered therapy dogs. SCDogs volunteers also visit schools, children’s camps, nursing homes and many other locations in Anderson, Oconee and Pickens Counties as well as Northeast Georgia. Their website is www.scdogs.org
