    La France Elementary School students are getting a boost early this school year with $850 in donated supplies, thanks to the generosity of Southern Wesleyan University and Walmart of Anderson.

    Southern Wesleyan donated $750 worth of craft supplies, which include paints, paper plates, foil, glue, craft sticks and modeling clay. Walmart donated $100 worth of supplies.

    “Southern Wesleyan’s and Walmart’s commitment to the La France Elementary student body is incredibly helpful,” said Hope Atyeo, the school’s principal. “It will allow us to reach our goal of high quality, creative materials in each and every teacher’s classroom.”

    Southern Wesleyan University hopes to continue donating supplies to help needy students in Anderson County.
