When you make an unrestricted annual gift to the university, you are making a donation for Southern Wesleyan to utilize for new facilities, state-of-the-art classroom equipment, internships and scholarships for our students. When the Promise Fund increases, the university is able to increase scholarship funds, financial aid, campus ministries and other student activities.

Nearly 100 years ago, the founders of Southern Wesleyan University had a vision and committed themselves to The Promise. That promise was made to God, to the community, to the Church and to each student. The Promise drives everything we do at Southern Wesleyan University, and it has changed the lives of those who have been a part of Southern Wesleyan University’s 100 year history. The Promise will continue to change lives and shape the university’s future into the next millennium.

Objectives
The Promise requires a focus on two objectives:

1. That SWU have the best faculty, facilities, academic programs, student support services, library resources, safe and comfortable environment, etc. to serve each student.
   
2. That financial assistance is available to make sure students are able, not only to attend, but to graduate and serve.

The Promise Fund, the annual fund for SWU, is directed each year by President David Spittal and his leadership team into academic programs, student scholarships, facilities and opportunities which will have the greatest impact. It is part of The Promise.

Gifts from alumni and friends are actively solicited and provide each donor with the opportunity to make a real difference. You can participate in The Promise.
