FULL-TIME FACULTY—EDUCATION—COORDINATOR OF FIELD STUDIES
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include coordinating field placements for students with school districts, monitoring the progress of teacher candidates throughout the teacher education program, maintaining records of pre-clinical and clinical candidates, maintaining a placement service for teacher education graduates, collecting data related to teacher education graduates, reviewing all university teacher education documents for conformity to current state, university, and school of education policies and curriculum. Responsibilities also include representing the university on committees established by state and professional organizations and maintaining current agreements with school districts that facilitate the internships of teacher candidates. Travel is required.
Requirements
- Applicants must hold a master’s degree and significant experience in public schools is critical. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential, as well as a demonstrated ability to aggregate/disaggregate data. A working knowledge of the South Carolina Teacher Assessment System (ADEPT) is preferred.
