FULL-TIME FACULTY—SPECIAL EDUCATION

Southern Wesleyan University's School of Education invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in special education to begin August 2012. This position is located at the main campus in Central, South Carolina.

Responsibilities

    Seeking a broadly trained applicant who can teach in a multi-categorical special education undergraduate program, while helping to develop and ultimately teaching in a new Master of Arts in Teaching program in Special Education.

Requirements

    A Ph.D. in special education or closely related field plus experience in public K-12 education is required; current K-12 certification is desirable. Southern Wesleyan University strives to create a distinctively Christian environment that fosters the integration of faith, learning, and living. The university is a Christian liberal arts institution in the Wesleyan-Holiness theological tradition. Faculty are expected to endorse the university’s Mission and Statement of Faith and to support the lifestyle expectations of the institution.
