REGIONAL DIRECTOR – North Augusta, SC
Responsibilities
Develops strategic partnerships with area corporations, school districts and other organizations whose employees or members might benefit from Southern Wesleyan University’s graduate, undergraduate and certificate degree programs. Recommends new degrees, majors, certificates and other training programs that might be developed to serve the local market. Supervises all Learning Center personnel and provides leadership and professional development opportunities. Coordinates and manages incoming inquiries and recruitment communication plans to maximize applicant quality and effective yield. Coordinates the admissions process for all territory applicants supported by Student Services. Works with team members to provide applicants with regular notification regarding any outstanding application materials. Identifies and manages appropriate external recruitment initiatives, including but not limited to information sessions, education fairs, conferences, virtual open houses and other events. Supports all initiatives to increase inquiry numbers and converts qualified prospects to enrolled students. Assists applicants with resources available through other university departments. Maintains recruiting tracking systems to ensure accurate recording, coding and reporting. Works in cooperation with enrollment staff and other university personnel to facilitate enrollment. Communicates with staff and faculty regarding upcoming recruitment events. Other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Administration and Program Operations.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field is required. Knowledge and acceptance of principles and philosophies of Southern Wesleyan University, its programs and requirements is absolutely essential. Other skills/experience required: excellent communicator via phone, email and personal presentations including group sessions; previous experience in business development, communications, sales, or recruitment; results-oriented and able to perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectively; ability to conduct research independently to resolve issues and obtain accurate information. In addition, the following skills/experience are preferred: familiar with issues and procedures related to transfer credits, degree plans, financial aid, registration, billing and payments, and graduation; able to develop effective working relationships with all related university departments; ability to accurately compile and present critical enrollment management data; experience with and knowledge of higher education marketing; and thorough understanding of academic programs offered in the fields of business and education. The ideal candidate possesses the skills required to succeed within a team environment and effectively lead direct reports as a capable business manager. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, able to extract necessary data from database and generate reports, comfortable with learning new software programs. Seeking candidate who is detailed-oriented and organized, entrepreneurial and creative, self-managing, and able to meet stringent deadlines while managing multiple projects.
