As a leader in Christian higher education, Southern Wesleyan University has enjoyed a rich history of growth and influence across South Carolina. From its humble beginnings in 1906, the University has grown from a small institution to a fully-accredited university with a significant presence in each major metropolitan area of the state. We attribute this success to the men and women who have faithfully navigated the opportunities that have emerged while adhering to our distinct mission.

Southern Wesleyan University is governed by a board of trustees and its strategic initiatives are led by a presidential administration. Leadership, however, is present at all levels of the university's operations as evidenced in the men and women who understand the challenges and opportunities of our times.
