SWU showcases artists, crafters at homecoming
A festival of arts and crafts is a new edition to Southern Wesleyan University’s homecoming at the university’s main campus in Central.
The arts and crafts will be available from vendors from noon to 4 p.m. during the university’s homecoming celebration Saturday, Oct. 29.

Southern Wesleyan University’s homecoming celebration is also the kickoff of its year-long centennial celebration. The university was founded in 1906 by leaders who promised to “help men and women become what God has designed them to be.”
“The university is celebrating 100 years of achieving that goal,” said Janelle Beamer, university spokesperson. “The year will be filled with events that commemorate the university’s history and celebrate its future.”
