Peter Pan, pirates visit SWU
Peter Pan, Wendy, the lost boys, pirates and other magical characters are bringing a touch of fantasy to Southern Wesleyan University’s Folger Fine Arts Auditorium. More than 50 members of Easley Home Educators came together for a week, beginning Feb. 28, at the university’s campus in Central. The students, ranging from seventh grade to high school seniors, rehearsed, made costumes and created stage sets for two performances of Peter Pan. Right, Dan Bailey of Piedmont, a senior, portrays Mr. Smee, left, while John Collins, a sophomore from Liberty, steers a pirate ship as Captain Hook. Easley Home Educators includes students from 106 area families.
