Homecoming ’07 at Southern Wesleyan University:

A Western-themed “Showdown” in Central

Southern Wesleyan University’s Western-themed Homecoming 2007 was a weekend filled with barbecue, outdoor music, wagon and carriage rides, children’s games, athletic showdowns with various Warriors teams and a chance to reconnect with former classmates. Highlights of Homecoming included a “Breakfast with Champions,” celebrating the national champion Lady Warriors Basketball Team and Warriors Baseball Team, cross country meets, a volleyball game, a home run derby, softball and soccer games, a presidential reception, a Tennessee Walking Horse show and fun for all ages. Homecoming took place Sept. 28 and 29 at the Central, S.C., campus of Southern Wesleyan University.

Kevin DeRossett and Heather Clifton were crowned Southern Wesleyan University’s Homecoming King and Queen for 2007. DeRossett is an English education major from Six Mile and Clifton is a music major from Asheboro, N.C.

Enjoying the day at a relaxed pace, alums and their families took wagon rides through the Southern Wesleyan University campus in Central during the 2007 Homecoming celebration.
