SWU graduate new Forest Acres principal
The Pickens County School Board named Darian Byrd as new principal of Forest Acres Elementary School in Easley, S.C. Byrd earned his bachelor of arts degree in music education in 1999 from Southern Wesleyan University. He also earned a master's degree in educational administration and supervision from Clemson University. Byrd has served as assistant principal at East End Elementary School and previously was a band leader at Liberty Middle School.
