Camp inspires young inventors
A team of young inventors makes adjustments to a golf ball launcher they created during Camp Invention June 21-25 at Southern Wesleyan University in Central, S.C., as Jacob Hall supervises. Hall is a recent Southern Wesleyan University psychology graduate from Walhalla, S.C. This was the first Camp Invention to be hosted by the university. Nearly 50 children entering grades 1-6 participated in camp activities which ranged from creating inventions to solving environmental problems. The camp is a partnership with Invent Now Kids, which organizes similar camps nationwide.
