Music professor challenges students

Greg Day addressed students, faculty and staff during Southern Wesleyan University’s convocation Aug. 17 in the Newton Hobson Chapel and Fine Arts Center on the campus in Central. He said, “All of you need to be pushed to the best of your ability.” Day is an associate professor of music and director of the university’s instrumental ensemble. He was named faculty member of the year for 2010-11. Day told the students, “You are our responsibility in scholarship and spirituality ... May God bless your presence at this place.”
