Children’s Literature
State Standards regarding children’s literature. Waters likes working with public schools or small groups, especially about getting children interested in reading. In fact, he loves to read to children, demonstrating how scope, sequence and the use of onomatopoeia engages students when listening to a story being read. According to Waters, children learn most when interested.

Learning disabilities
Waters’ specialty is addressing learning disabilities in students – specifically autism spectrum disorders (ASP) such as Asperger’s Syndrome – and helping teachers identify and work effectively with Asperger’s children.
