Southern Celebration

Southern Wesleyan University alumni and friends from across the nation gathered at the university’s Central campus for a weeklong spiritual retreat, Southern Celebration, May 24-28. The retreat had a jungle explorer theme and included outings to area waterfalls, a boat tour of Lake Jocassee, a visit to view Table Rock and a trip to Hollywild Animal Park near Inman. In the above photo at left, Joy Bryant, foreground, SWU director of alumni and constituent relations, explains the history of Issaqueena Falls to Southern Celebration participants. In the photo at right, Southern Celebration participants take a tour at the animal park.
