SWU dedicates Summey Facility
Wayne Stancil, left, and Andrea Summey unveil a portrait of her late husband, David Summey, at a recent dedication ceremony for Southern Wesleyan University’s new David J. Summey Equipment Services Facility. Stancil is assistant director of the university’s physical plant and a close friend of the Summey family. David Summey was killed in a tragic accident adjacent to the Southern Wesleyan University campus on April 5, 2005. He had worked for the university for 12 years and was a 1991 graduate of the university. The Summey Facility will be used for storing maintenance equipment and as a repair area.
Southern Wesleyan University
