Southern Wesleyan University honored alumni with awards at a banquet May 6 on the university’s campus in Central. Awardees, from left, are Dr. Virgil Mitchell, Alumnus of the Century; Dr. Bob Black, Outstanding Alumnus; Rev. Scott Payseur, Young Leader; Sue Rickman, Professional Excellence Award winner for the School of Education; and Dr. David Medders, Professional Excellence Award winner for the College of Arts and Science.
