Musical revue features Aesop’s fables

CENTRAL, S.C. -- The Tarradiddle Players will bring Aesop’s most popular fables to life with Broadway flair in their performance of “Don’t Count Your Chickens Until They Cry Wolf.”

The show, part of Southern Wesleyan University’s Fine Arts Series, will be Feb. 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the university’s campus in Central. The performance will be in Folger Auditorium on Wesleyan Drive. Admission is free.

With lively songs and absorbing characterizations, the Tarradiddle Players bring new life to these ancient stories. The fables include “The Tortoise and the Hare,” “The Wolf in Sheep’s Clothes,” “Belling the Cat,” “The Lion and the Mouse” and “The Ant and the Grasshopper.”

For details about the Fine Arts Series or to receive a copy of Southern Wesleyan’s Fine Arts schedule, call Jane Dill, Fine Arts Division Chair, at (864) 644-5294 or e-mail jdill@swu.edu.
