Personal Wholeness
Personal Wholeness is a program of holistic development for all Southern Wesleyan students. Course content and the development of an electronic portfolio provide the basis for student development in seven areas of life: intellectual, environmental, spiritual, social, emotional, physical and occupational. Students learn how to set short and long-term goals in hopes that healthy habits will lead to a life-time process of wholeness.
Personal Wholeness I: Students focus on setting goals for the intellectual and occupational aspects of their lives. This course also helps students transition from high school or work into the college environment. This course is taken during the first semester at SWU.
Personal Wholeness II: Students focus on their physical health and learn what it means to become environmentally aware. This course is taken during the second semester.
Personal Wholeness III: In this course, students learn what it means to become emotionally and socially healthy. This course is taken during the sophomore year.
Personal Wholeness IV: Students in this course learn what it means to become spiritually whole from the Christian perspective. This course is taken during the junior year at SWU.
