Week of Giving 2020 is Week of Caring
COVID-19 Resources for Alumni and Friends
As SWU and the entire world adjusts to the COVID-19 pandemic, some things do not change. Generosity and a spirit of compassion remain the hallmark of our Christ-centered community. If you have immediate health or career needs, please scroll down or select an option to access some of our alumni resources!
SWU’s faculty, staff, and students have risen to the occasion by adapting to online instruction and making daily sacrifices to keep others safe, doing their part to prevent the spread of COVID-19. SWU cares for each other and SWU cares for the needs our neighbors, near and far.
April 20 to 24 is SWU’s Week of Giving. This week celebrates the best of SWU, and one thing SWU does best is respond with compassionate care to the real needs around us. Will you join us?
Concert for Hope: Facebook Live
On April 24, we live streamed a special presentation of music from fine arts faculty Professor Jane Dill and Dr. Amber James. Watch the recording here!
Students face unprecedented challenges and changes in life circumstances as well as family finances. Right now, some are struggling with day to day needs and accessing the technology to finish the spring semester. Others are overcoming loneliness, anxiety, and depression. Others are sheltering on our campus for their own safety or to protect the safety of loved ones. Still others have lost job prospects and may be unable to afford school next year.
Despite these challenges, SWU remains committed to our students and community by providing immediate grants for student needs, maintaining support for special needs friends through The Jericho Project, offering support to valued mission partners, and growing the pool of scholarships and grants for returning students.
If God has blessed you with the means to share, please consider joining the #SWUcares community by making a gift today!
