Southern Wesleyan University invites applications for a full-time biology faculty position in the traditional program at the Central campus. This is a 9-month, tenure-track position that will begin August 1, 2018. The successful candidate will have broad training in the biological sciences and have interest in undergraduate teaching and research. The university is actively seeking to increase the number of women and minorities within its faculty.
Teaching responsibilities will be primarily in SWU’s traditional undergraduate biology programs, including courses in intro to biology, general biology, biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, genetics, and immunology. Additional responsibilities will involve academic advising, mentoring undergraduate research students, program planning and assessment, and serving on assigned committees related to university functions.
Academic. An earned doctorate in a biological science. Preference will be given to applicants with previous teaching experience.
