Alum named among 50 Most Influential PeopleRay Lattimore, a 1982 business graduate of Southern Wesleyan University and president/CEO of Marketplace Staffing, was named by Greenville Business Magazine as one of Greenville’s 50 Most Influential People of 2011. The magazine described Lattimore as “one of the Upstate’s strongest advocates of entrepreneurialism and minority business growth.” Lattimore joined a list of leaders who made significant contributions that shaped Greenville’s business and community landscape in 2011. |

Frazier publishes in journalJohn Frazier, professor of business at Southern Wesleyan University, published an article, “Hedging Metals in the Automotive Industry,” in the Winter 2011 edition of the International Journal of Business and Economic Perspectives. The paper won a research award at the International Academy of Business and Public Administration Disciplines conference in Orlando, Fla.

Owens new interactive services director at Jackson Marketing GroupBryan Owens was recently named interactive services director at Jackson Marketing Group. Owens received a human resources degree from Southern Wesleyan University. Owens joined Jackson Marketing Group with a background in information technology and personnel management, along with experience in overseeing successful acquisitions, product launches and project integration. Jackson Marketing Group, with offices in Greenville, S.C., and Charlotte, N.C., is a fully-integrated marketing communications agency offering strategic planning, interactive services, advertising, public relations, partnership marketing, event management, video production and support services. |

Seavey Seneca's new finance directorJoel Seavey was named the city of Seneca’s new finance director. Seavey, who lives in Six Mile, will also serve as clerk-treasurer for the city. Seavey earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He began his new job April 19. |
