SWU students write prayers on a support beam before it is placed in the Newton-Hobson Chapel and University Fine Arts Center, which is under construction on the Central campus of the university.

This past October, students, faculty and staff wrote Bible verses on slips of paper and laid them into the building’s foundation. The fine arts facility, which will include a 1,200-seat auditorium and will house the division of Fine Arts as well as the university chaplain’s office, is scheduled to open this August.
