Walhalla’s Gibson receives SWU ensemble scholarship
Elisabeth Gibson will participate in choral ensembles in the Fine Arts Division of Southern Wesleyan University, a National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) accredited institution.
Gibson, who is getting ready to graduate from Walhalla High, will enter SWU this fall and major in vocal music education. Present at the signing were Steve Garrett, Walhalla High School principal; John Fallon, Walhalla High School choral director; Elisabeth’s parents, Steve and Shannon Gibson; and Dr. Don R. Campbell, director of choral activities.
The music scholarship is renewable and open to students who are active in their school’s music programs and Southern Wesleyan students involved in each of the university’s three performing groups.
