SWU Wind Ensemble Concert

The Southern Wesleyan University Wind Ensemble is pleased to present the world premiere of a piece commissioned in memory of Mrs. Virginia Dongell at their Spring Concert on April 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Newton Hobson Chapel and Fine Arts Center Auditorium. Mrs. Dongell was the wife of beloved SWU Professor Dr. Herbert Dongell and was an avid lover of music. The piece was written by Mr. Michael Brown, arranger for the United States Army Band, and will feature three of Mrs. Dongell’s favorite hymns.
The concert will also feature works written by Professors Greg and Wesley Day and premiering a piece by graduating senior Noah Cromer. It will be an evening that includes a variety of styles!
