U.S. News & World Report ranks SWU among the best

U.S. News & World Report listed Southern Wesleyan University as one of the best master’s level universities in the South.

For 2009, Southern Wesleyan University is listed among the best institutions in U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges.” This is the sixth consecutive year that the magazine has ranked schools in terms of their academic programs.

This year, U.S. News & World Report ranked more than 1,800 public and private institutions that are liberal arts colleges, comprehensive colleges, national universities and master’s universities.

Southern Wesleyan University’s rankings cite data such as retention rate, graduation rate, class size, student/faculty ratio, SAT/ACT scores, acceptance rate and alumni giving.

Highlights of the college rankings were published in the Sept. 1 issue of U.S. News & World Report. The 2009 “America’s Best Colleges” guidebook is now available for purchase.
