Southern Wesleyan University students displayed their carved pumpkin creations, including this pumpkin burger, created by John Greco and Amy Shepard, during a pumpkin carving contest Oct. 29 at the university in Central.

The burger and fries combo, composed entirely of pumpkin, won first place in the contest, which was sponsored by ARAMARK, the university’s dining service, in conjunction with Southern Wesleyan’s Student Government Association and Student Activities departments. Greco is a sophomore from Lexington, S.C., and Shepard is a junior from Winder, Ga. Both are majoring in human services.
